NRL 2026 Guide: Every Team, Every Prediction

Brisbane Broncos

🏆 Brisbane Broncos

2025: Premiers. 15-9. Beat Melbourne in the grand final. Pretty good year.

What they’ve got: The best forward pack in the league. Payne Haas is a machine. Pat Carrigan does the dirty work. Reece Walsh is electric at fullback, Ezra Mam’s developing nicely, and Adam Reynolds is still steering the ship around.

What they lost: Selwyn Cobbo (Dolphins). That hurts. He was their left-edge finisher.

What they need: A title defence. Reyno’s probably done after 2026.

The call: Top 4.

Canberra Raiders

🟢 Canberra Raiders

2025: Minor premiers. 19-5. Lost in the preliminary final.

What they’ve got: Grit. Ricky Stuart’s made this team the hardest to score against. Joseph Tapine and Josh Papali’i are workhorses up front. Hudson Young is elite.

What they lost: Jamal Fogarty (Manly). Who plays halfback now?

The call: Top 6.

Canterbury Bulldogs

🐶 Canterbury Bulldogs

2025: 3rd. 16-8. From 15th to 6th to 3rd in three years.

What they’ve got: Stephen Crichton. Best centre in the game. Matt Burton’s a weapon. Viliame Kikau on the edge. The Dogs are loaded.

The call: Top 2. This team is scary.

Melbourne Storm

⚡ Melbourne Storm

2025: 2nd. 17-7. Lost the grand final.

What they’ve got: Cameron Munster. Jahrome Hughes. Harry Grant. The spine’s elite.

What they lost: Ryan Papenhuyzen and Nelson Asofa-Solomona (retired).

The call: Top 4.

Penrith Panthers

🐆 Penrith Panthers

2025: 7th. 13-10-1. The aura’s gone.

What they’ve got: Nathan Cleary. Still worth 6-8 wins. Dylan Edwards, Isaah Yeo, Liam Martin.

The call: Top 6. The dynasty’s done, but Cleary keeps them competitive.
